In early September, Samsung announced several new gadgets at once, the release of which should take place in the near future. Among them was the Galaxy A42 smartphone, which may become one of the most affordable 5G devices of the brand. Finally, insiders managed to find a novelty on the platform of the popular Geekbench benchmark.
The device with the model number SM-A426B was noticed in the Geekbench database, thanks to which it became known on which platform the new 5G smartphone of the South Korean manufacturer will be built. Judging by the information provided, the “heart” of the Galaxy A42 will be the latest Snapdragon 750G processor, which supports fifth-generation networks.
The architecture of the previously announced Qualcomm chip provides for the installation of two high-performance cores with a frequency of 2.21 GHz, as well as six energy-efficient ones, operating at a frequency of 1.8 GHz. It is noteworthy that the platform works in conjunction with the Adreno 619 GPU, whose performance is 10% faster than the Snapdragon 730G.
The Galaxy A42 is expected to receive a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch for the front camera and ultra-thin bezels around the screen. The presentation of the gadget should take place before the end of the year.
